2025 is a different story
One of my goals in 2024 was to write more. That didn't happen.
2025, however, has been a different story. I've written 50 times, at least. Earlier this year, I got into morning pages. After coming across it on the internet for the seventh time, I decided to give it a shot.
I realized quickly it wasn't going to be an everyday thing for me. In the interim, I wanted to write to clear my head – and maybe plan ahead. I had many loose ends in my head and to tie them up, I wanted to take care of my days and weeks. So, that's what I did. I wrote on mornings I felt like it. I still do, although, not as frequently.
More remarkably, I finally bought the domain that belongs to my name after years of procrastination. I know there's another Bala Vishal out there in San Francisco – he's taken up my name on Linkedin. I wasn't ready to give it up this time around. So, I bought it and hooked it up to bearblog. I'm glad I did. I've written published 22 short posts this year. Most of them are to myself, a few that others might want to read.
I'm keen to get back now. It's been a sweet and easy road in. I'd love to write with more intention now. As much I love journaling, that's not where I find my hit. I'd love to put in the time to write a few thought pieces.
Tbh, I'm don't love the UI limitations bearblog has. But, between Microblog, Blot, Svbtle, Write.as, and Posthaven, Bearblog stood out.
I'll hopefully be writing more frequently, meaningfully, and with purpose. See ya around!
